Education needs realists!

I’ve been told often in the past few months (but really all of my life) that I’m a cynical person, negative even. But I’m not negative at all. I’m a realist. It’s hard for realists to work in education, but I stay because society needs us. There has to be a buffer between the rampant cynicism and toxic positivity in education today.
